If you have read our pricing page, you know we are unusual in admitting this: on Thermage FLX and HIFU specifically, the savings versus Hong Kong are not always 50 to 90 percent. Sometimes they are 30 percent. Sometimes they are zero. Sometimes a HK promotional rate is cheaper than our standard rate.

Other clinic marketing avoids this nuance. We address it head-on. Here is the actual mechanism.

What the data shows

HK Thermage FLX 900-shot full-face pricing across surveyed clinics:

  • DR REBORN promotional rate: HKD 13,800 (first-time customer)
  • DR REBORN standard rate: HKD 24,000-plus
  • Mid-tier HK clinics: HKD 28,000 to 38,000
  • Premium HK clinics (Oasis Medical, HK Skin Centre): HKD 46,800 to 69,800

Dongguan regional Thermage 900-shot pricing:

  • Dongguan range (industry survey): ¥25,000 to 32,000 (HKD 27,000 to 34,560)
  • Vigor Dongguan: Within this range, consultation-based

The math:

  • Vs DR REBORN promo (HKD 13,800): Vigor is HIGHER. Savings: negative.
  • Vs mid-tier HK (HKD 30,000): Savings 0 to 10 percent.
  • Vs premium HK (HKD 60,000): Savings 45 to 55 percent.

This is why we say "0 to 60 percent" rather than "70 to 90 percent" for Thermage. The honest range matters.

Why is Thermage so different from facials?

Two reasons.

1. Tip cost

Thermage requires a single-use treatment tip per session. The tip is the consumable. It costs around HKD 8,000 to 10,000 at procurement, regardless of clinic location.

For a facial, the consumables cost HKD 50. For Thermage, the consumables alone cost what a full facial would.

That fixed cost floor means there is less room for HK vs Dongguan price difference. The geography arbitrage only operates on the labour and rent components, not the consumable.

2. HK clinics use Thermage as a new-customer hook

This is the part most patients do not realise. HK clinics intentionally price Thermage cheaply for first-time customers because:

  • Thermage is a single-visit treatment (good for first impression)
  • Results unfold over 3 to 6 months (gives time for relationship)
  • Most Thermage patients become repeat customers for other treatments (high LTV)

The HKD 13,800 DR REBORN promotional rate is a loss-leader. They lose money on it, but recover via the customer's next ten visits.

Dongguan clinics, including Vigor, do not play this game. We price each treatment at sustainable margins, including Thermage. Which means our Thermage looks expensive relative to HK promotional rates, even though it would look reasonable relative to HK standard rates.

What this means for you

If you are looking specifically at Thermage or HIFU:

If you can get an HK promotional rate: Take the promotional rate. We will not be cheaper for that specific session. We will tell you that.

If you are pricing standard or premium HK rates: Vigor saves you 30 to 55 percent. That is real money on a HKD 30,000 to 60,000 treatment.

If you value Taiwan-trained protocols, longer operating history, and consultation-led approach: Vigor is comparable on price to mid-tier HK and offers different value (more time, less push). Worth considering separately from price alone.

What about the other treatments?

For most other treatments, the math is straightforward:

  • Facials: 74 to 83 percent savings vs HK. Math holds.
  • PicoSure: 34 to 75 percent savings. Math holds.
  • Botox: 55 to 78 percent savings. Math holds.
  • Premium SPA: Significant savings (HKD 3,000 to 7,000 HK vs HKD 865 to 3,240 Vigor). Math holds.

The Thermage and HIFU caveat is genuinely an exception, not the rule.

How to actually decide

If you have a specific HK quote in hand for Thermage or HIFU, run it through our savings calculator on the pricing page. It will tell you whether Vigor saves you money or not, honestly.

If we do not save you money on that specific session, we will not pretend we do. There are reasons to choose Vigor beyond price (consultation style, repeatability, branch experience), but if the only deciding factor for you is dollar savings on a one-time treatment, sometimes HK is the better choice.

We would rather tell you that and have you come back when something else is the right fit, than push a treatment where we are not the best value.
